The palace is a complex of buildings built by Sultans Abdülmecid I and Abdülaziz. During the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II new buildings added to the palace complex in 1890's in order to use as State Apartments : Büyük Mabeyn. So the Palace became the fourth govemmental centre of the empire. Then other buildings were built: Sale Pavilion, the Malta Pavilion, the Cadir Pavilion, the Yildiz Theater and Opera House, the Yildiz Palace Museum, . The Imperial Porcelain Factory was built in the Yildiz Palace in 1894 in order to make traditional Turkish porcelains

The Palace has got 60 rooms and 4 hall rooms and these magniticent places were decorated with engravings,geometric ornaments and scenic panels reflecting Baroque, Rococo and Islamic influence.

The Palace is used as Yildiz Palace Museum and historical objects and artworks are exhibited .
